A serious accident occurred on July 10 in Carefree. A man from Prescott is being held at the Maricopa Medical Center, where he continues to receive medical treatment after the car accident. The man is believed to have caused a crash that started when he crashed into a car and caused two other vehicles to crash head-on. The 32-year-old driver sustained chest trauma in the accident.
According to reports, the crash was caused by the man driving a Chevrolet Blazer. The accident happened near Carefree Highway and Stage Coach Pass and injured three people. The driver who allegedly caused the crash is also accused of assaulting two local residents and a firefighter after his vehicle ended up in the yard of a home.
The police further report that they suspected the driver who caused the crash was under the influence of an as yet unknown drug when the incident occurred. Law enforcement authorities were awaiting the results of toxicology testing. No further information was released concerning the nature and extent of the injuries suffered by the others involved in the car accident.
In this case, the other people injured as a result of the car accident will likely be interested to learn the results of any toxicology reports on the driver who caused the accident. They will also want to know the results of the police investigation. Those injured in this Arizona accident may want to pursue legal action in the form of personal injury claims against the driver if it is documented that he was negligent in a manner that caused or contributed to their injuries.
